When I called Peter (my friend) he surprised
me by telling me how well things were going and how busy his practice
was. I couldn’t believe it. How could we be 20 minutes from
each other and he be doing well and I doing poorly. Peter was nice
enough to invite me to his office and the place was mobbed. I was
really impressed. It was at that point that it became clear to me
that there was something to learn about building a practice and
I needed to learn it. Peter sat down with me and explained that
he received training in a new management system that I might be
interested in.
This technology essentially taught him the rules of the game, including
how to hire and deal with staff, how to market, how to organize
etc. At the time this training was available in California and so
I flew out and went through some basic training. |
